Kimera is an open-source platform and content management system for building dynamic web sites offering a broad range of features and services including user administration, group structure, dynamic content management, discussion capabilities and XML publishing.

Installation



To install Kimera:

0. First you need to check if your server has the necessary System requirements. Then you need to Download the last release of Kimera.

1. Extract the Kimera archive to the desired location in your web documents directory.

2. Make the following files and directories (and their contents) writeable (i.e., by changing the owner or permissions with chown or chmod):
  • public
  • setup
  • rss

3. Open a web browser to http://yourdomain.com/path/to/kimera/ and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
